Chairman of the company KV Vishnu Raju said that: "Hitech had installed a high speed digital inkjet printing system in 1996 from Kodak, formerly Scitex. It was first of its kind in the then Indian security print scenario. This system was installed on a Muller Martini press for printing forms."

The increasing demand for production of recharge coupons of various telecom services, led Hitech to grow its infrastructure by adding a second Versamark, a 6240 high speed inkjet printing system in 2007.

Raju said: "The 6240 was installed on a custom built combination press which can convert from blank rolls to finished recharge coupons with multi-colour.  The printing is done on art paper with variable PIN and serial numbers, passing through inter-duct Gew UV curing system. The substrate is then processed for silver scratch coating."

Finally, expansion of the customer base and ever increasing need for accommodating the growth in business forced Hitech installed the third Versamark and its second Muller Martini press.

The customer base of various universities and education boards in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala is noteworthy. Hitech is a security printing unit certified by IBA and ISO 9001:2008. It has over 200 skilled and experienced personnel.
