The Dartford-based company bought an MBO T1020 folder with a Palamides 1005 large-format automatic delivery system, which will be the first of its kind in the UK.
Group operations director Keith Whitehead and group operations manager Paul Kemp stopped by Friedheim's stand (19/C710) to finalise the deal on Wednesday.
According to Kemp, the invest- ment will allow Howard Hunt Direct to run 4- and 5-up when producing inserts and direct mail pieces and help utilise the maxi- mum width of the new equipment printing units.
Guillotining, counting, stacking and banding will also decrease when the company is running at full pace.
Kemp said: "Once this machine is in we can replace two existing folders. We will be more efficient and the MBO machines are always reliable."
