The press giant said Vits' portfolio of sheeting and finishing components would complement its Goss web offset offering.
Through the acquisition, Goss will now manufacturer the Vits Print range of coaters, die cutters, prefolders and plow stations at its Boxmeer, Netherlands-based Contiweb facility.
The operation already produces auxiliary Goss components that include splicers, pasters and heatset dryers for web offset printing systems.
Jochen Meissner, president and chief executive of Goss International, said the acquisition of "market leader" Vits Print represented a "sensible expansion" of its core product range.
Auxiliary components from both Goss International and Vits Print are manufacturered for use within Goss presses as well as other suppliers in the web offset, gravure and flexo space.
Werner Deuring, chief executive of Vits Print, said he was confident the integration of its operations would bring "added value" to its customers having worked with Goss in the past.
Vits America is not part of the acquisition and will continue to market and support Vits Print products in the US.
