“The showcase will be a great stepping stone between last November’s London Calling and Ipex at the end of March,” said Duplo UK managing director Peter Jolly.
“We’ll have a full showroom so it’s a great opportunity for people to come and see some of the things that will be on display at Ipex.”
Duplo kit on display will include the ?500i Duetto bookletmaker, DC-745 Multifinisher with integrated folder, ?PBT Mitamax lay-flat book block builder? and FKS KB4000 PUR Binder.
Meanwhile, Friedheim will be running its ?Komfi Amiga 52 Laminator, Schneider Senator 78 guillotine and Baumann B2 unloader at the biannual event.
Renz will be demonstrating a raft of wire-binding and punching equipment including the Punch 500 heavy-duty desktop punch?, MOBI 500 semi-automatic wire binder, DTP 340A semi-automatic desktop punch? and ECL 360 electric desktop closer.
Visitors, by prior arrangement, will also have the chance to see examples of their live jobs finished at the event.
“The team at Renz came up with the idea of making this a truly ‘live’ event. Sometimes open houses can be a bit dry, so the simple premise is that as much as I’m sure a printer would like to see a controlled product demonstration, it will be even more valuable for them to see their real jobs finished to show them what’s possible,” said Jolly.
“I’m sure it will be of particular interest to companies that currently outsource some of their finishing and are looking at bringing some processes in-house.”
Web-to-print developer Vpress will also be exhibiting at the event, discussing the concept of ‘Print2Finish’ automation using 1D bar-coding from within its Coreprint platform.
Finishing Alliance Live! will be hosted at Duplo’s Addlestone headquarters from 4-6 February. Visitors to the event will be entered into a free prize draw to win two VIP Ipex visitor experiences that include dinner and overnight accommodation during the March show.
