The Frome, Somerset-based publisher claims the range of greetings cards and stationery is the only carbon neutral range of its kind manufactured and distributed in the UK.
Jason Elphick, creative director for publisher Museums and Galleries Marketing, said: "The Freelife Aroma sheet filled our criteria exactly in terms of environmental credentials. However, the unusual dimension of scent was an added bonus."
Museums and Galleries Marketing has teamed up with The Carbon Neutral Company to ensure that any unavoidable CO2 emissions created in the production and distribution of the Eden range are offset.
Additionally, the Aroma grade, which comes in a variety of different scents, comprises of 40% post-consumer waste, 55% FSC-certified fibre and 5% cotton fibre.
The company selected from 20 different fragrances for the grade and decided on the natural scent 'wet cut grass'.
Elphick said: "Freelife Aroma contains cotton which gave us the tactile feel required, however the product also printed and performed exceptionally well with good colour reproduction across the solids, text and the imagery."
Printers Beacon Press and Sherwood Press were selected to print the product, and the inks used were 100% vegetable oil-based.
The Eden carbon neutral range consists of cards, notelets, writing sets and gift-stationery.
