Print Innovations, which takes place on 29 February and 1 March 2012, will run alongside the Packaging Innovations, Ecopack, Packtech and Contract Pack shows at Birmingham's NEC.
The event incorporates an expanded iteration of the Print for Packaging zone, a showcase of various print products designed to accelerate time to market.
According to the organisers, last year's concept garnered "huge interest" from the print sector, which will result in an expanded presence next year.
This will include a focus on all aspects of print and processes such as pre-press systems and software to equipment, quality control and inspection systems and post-press and finishing.
The show will also showcase developments in prototyping, MIS and ERP software as well as cross-media, consumables and direct marketing software.
According to Matt Benyon, managing director of EasyFairs UK and Ireland, the show is a response to an overwhelming response for Print for Packaging in 2010.
He said: "It is important to highlight that this is more than a traditional print show where major equipment manufacturers meet commercial printers.
"While that important dialogue is in place, this is also a tried and tested concept designed to attract print buyers as well as companies with large print demands (including packaging) and marketers and for them to plug something of a knowledge gap by assessing and even identifying the various production options that are open to them."
EasyFairs confirmed that its Print for Packaging zone would remain a primary focus for the forthcoming Packaging Innovations event in London, which takes place later this year on 6-7 October at the Business Design Centre in Islington.
