The company, which produces bespoke presentation, packaging and printed stationery products, was joined by more than 25 guests for a VIP tour of the factory.
Duraweld laid on an exhibition of products made by the company since its founding in 1959, after which the guests were presented with a 50th birthday souvenir brochure.
Marketing manager Jane Harper said: "50 years is a real landmark and we are delighted to celebrate it by enjoying a trip down memory lane with our clients and suppliers, some of whom have been with us for a very long time."
Duraweld also took the guests on an open top bus ride along the seafront to the Scarborough Spa for a gourmet meal.
