The shelving units have been made out of 18mm Ultra Board R, and created by Central St Martin's design student Matthew Nicholson for graphic arts publication Nobrow.

The unit is stacked with products for visitors to London-based Somerset House.

Nigel West, Dufaylite technical manager, said: "Ultra Board is a low weight, versatile product that also has high strength.

"It's a 100% paper and card unit, and the outer facing panel of the board is FSC certified while the honeycomb board in the middle is 100% recycled. This means that it can all be recycled once the product is no longer needed."

Nicholson said he chose the product because he needed a material that could stand up to heavy use.

He said: "After a few tests it became clear that neither single or double walled cardboard would be suitable.

"So, after some investigation, I found and chose the 18mm Ultra Board R."

He added that Dufaylite's cutting service saved him work in cutting the 28 boards needed to create the layered strength and depth of the shelving unit.
