Stephenson can remember the first verse and chorus of every song since Drupa 1986, when the idea was introduced. He has even set up a Facebook page, The Cult of Drupa Songs, to celebrate this unique musical oeuvre.
"It started when my kids were little – they really got into the drupa 2000 song and would run around the house singing it. It developed from there," he told Drupa Report Daily, melodiously.
So far the page has attracted 171 ‘likes’, with Stephenson hoping for a boost in numbers during drupa 2012.
His favourite is the Drupa 2000 song, 'Drupa Anthem', although he also describes the 2012 tune as "a grower".
Stephenson’s ultimate dream is to write the lyrics for a future Drupa song, and he is considering a pitch for 2016.
He has also laid down the gauntlet to visitors to challenge him on his incredible abilities, but be warned: if he gets a song wrong there’s a chance he might sing a second verse.
The 1986 country-themed 'Drupa Drupa International' by Dave Gibson was nominated for the accolade of worst corporate anthem ever by The Register.
