Broxbourne produces record six editions of The Sun for US elections

A record six special editions were published by The Sun newspaper yesterday as the drama in the US elections unfolded.

The tabloid printed early news during the night, finishing its nine runs with an 8am edition carrying Obama's acceptance speech and pictures from the rally, as well as details of John McCain's concession.

Printing took place at News International's Broxbourne site.

The Sun editor Rebekah Wade paid tribute to the production, editorial and distribution teams for their tremendous efforts through the night to produce the unprecedented coverage.
