The Coalville, Leicestershire-based business, which specializes in flyers, booklets, posters, vehicle graphics and bespoke labels, was supplied the machine by Roland distributor Revolution Transfers.

Its new system prints and cuts products – including transfers, textiles, stickers, labels and posters – up to a width of 480mm. In addition to metallic inks, the VersaStudio BN-20 can print using Eco-Sol Max inks or water-based inks in CMYK.

According to AsboGraphics owner Jordan Watret, the integrated print and cut functionality of the VersaStudio BN-20 was one of the features to help the business achieve "a bigger bang" when completing a customer's work.

He added: "It’s a highly efficient way of working, which keeps our service competitive, and it is more cost-effective than investing in separate printing and cutting devices – not to mention the amount of space it saves."

Watret cited the manufacturer's Eco-Sol Max inks and the ability to print metallic as another key selling point of the machine, helping it produce "stunning prints time and time again".

"I often get asked for custom labels using metallic inks. I can charge a premium for this service, but the process doesn’t require any costly set up. My customers love this sort of thing," he said.
