APP's Greenbury quizzed over practices in live webcast

APP's director of sustainability and stakeholder engagement Aida Greenbury faced questions over the paper giant'senvironmental credentials and its vision for the next decade during a live event yesterday.

In front of a live audience of paper industry executives, printweek.com editor Matt Whipp quizzed Greenbury over APP's expansion plans and how they will be impacted by the withdrawal of major brands from the company, as well as anti-dumping duties being levied against it.

Greenbury also took questions on APP's environmental record, such as allegations that it is commercially exploiting land with peat deposits greater than 3m deep - illegal in Indonesia - and how it intends to pursue certification within its plantations.

The company was also quizzed on other activities such as its relationship with Arco Paper, the recent ASA ruling over its adverts in The Times, and asked to clarify any association with some of the organisations that support its position.

The event was beamed to satellite events around the world and Greenbury took questions live during the session. You can replay the event on-demand through our archive.
