Antalis Group achieves multi-site FSC and PEFC CoC

Paper merchant Antalis Group has achieved multi-site FSC and PEFC chain-of-custody certification across 25 countries.

Antalis McNaughton, the UK merchanting operation of Antalis, led the initiative and was granted the certification at the beginning of September following a 12-month programme of work.

It said it is the first international merchant to achieve the multi-site certification across 25 countries.

Lee Henderson, environmental executive for Antalis McNaughton, said: "There are huge benefits in terms of reduced administration and simplified processes, which will help us serve our customers more efficiently, especially those customers that trade with us across Europe."

He added that the business offers a consultation service that aims to help customers achieve certification in key business areas.

"Having gone through the process of achieving multi-site certification, we are in a stronger position to offer help and advice and make the process as pain-free as possible."

The Leicester head-quartered merchant has launched the service as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable development.

Antalis McNaughton partnered up with SGS to achieve the certification.
