Advanced Image Direct snapped up the Buhrs BB700 machines to complement five similar systems installed by the Californian company late last year.
“Our positive experience of Buhrs’ products led us to standardise on this workhorse product,” said Advanced Image Direct president Frank Verrill.
“It operates at very high speeds and accommodates an array of envelope sizes and configurations. We are really impressed with the intelligence built into the kit.
“The BB700 lets us change over quickly from one job to another and its intelligence enables us to fully integrate read and print capability.
“This enables us to keep pace with our upstream digital-imaging devices and ensures mail integrity throughout job runs.”
Adding the six new Buhrs envelope-inserter systems would increase Advanced Image Direct’s capacity to 80m pieces per month, he said.
The Buhrs BB700 upgrades productivity from 14,000 to 16,000 products per hour. It comes with rotary, shuttle and friction feeders.
Buhrs Americas president and CEO Michael Aumann welcomed the confidence shown in Buhrs products from “one the leading mailers in southern California”.
