Whether you’re one of our inspirational trainees embarking on a career in print, one of the companies pushing the envelope of what various technologies are capable of, or your business is proof positive that even in the toughest of markets the right approach and mentality can reap rewards and fuel growth, you should be immensely proud to be one of the 70 companies and individuals that made this year’s shortlist.
Of course, not everyone gets on the shortlist and deciding who makes the grade is the unenviable task of our 30-plus judges, all leading print buyers or, in the case of the performance categories, leaders in their chosen fields.
To those of you who have been disappointed this year, take heart in the fact that the difference between making the shortlist or not was in some cases just a fraction of a point – small consolation I know, but proof of the challenge faced by the judging panels.
My thanks go to all of you that entered, the judges and our sponsors and, of course, good luck to all our shortlisted companies on the big night – it’s already shaping up to be our best Awards yet.

2011 PrintWeek Awards shortlist
The PrintWeek Awards are synonymous with everything that is great about the industry, and while I would like to think that's all down to the power of the PrintWeek brand, the truth is it's a consequence of the production quality and business acumen of the hundreds of companies that enter every year.
