Listening to reports in the small hours of chaotic scenes at various polling stations where there was either not enough time for people to vote or not enough ballot papers, I did hear someone utter the dread phrase "printing error". How sigh-making is that?
Now our leaders have to get their heads around the complex and hugely important issues surrounding a hung parliament. According to one report this morning there could be a month or more of shenanigans, which doesn't bode well for business sentiment. This handy BBC flow chart explains what could happen next.
On the bright side, it will generate a lot of column inches. We might even have to go through the whole election process again which will involve a further chunk of [error-free] print. One contact at least was rubbing his hands this morning, with this prediction: "Another election in a few months - print should be pleased."
