The rebrand was effective yesterday (30 March).
Walters was previously CEO of the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg. In his new role he takes responsibility for the firm’s global offering.
Walters takes over from Mike Gordon, who stepped down from the overall CEO role at Paragon CC towards the end of last year and is now COO at parent Paragon Group.
The revamp has involved Paragon defining its offering across seven business areas: Consulting and Agency; Customer Communications; Lead Supply; Supply Chain Management; Business Process Outsourcing; Workplace Solutions; and Print Solutions.
Walters joined Paragon Group just under six years ago when it acquired DST Systems’ UK customer communications business, where he had been CEO.
He said he was looking forward to continuing to work with Paragon’s UK clients and colleagues and meeting more global clients and colleagues “while we continue our collaborative growth”.
Walters described the rebrand as “hugely valuable” because it would allow the business to better position and deliver “the increasingly diverse solutions we offer to our clients”.
“It also brings together our different regions under a consistent brand identity, demonstrating that we are now a truly global business. This is the start of a new journey for our brand, and the next step in my own journey with Paragon.
“I’ve already spent the past few months meeting with our teams across Europe, and I’m excited about working closely with them to meet our clients’ challenges.”
Walters added: “What we’re very keen to acknowledge is our pedigree in customer communications, which makes up around 57% of the business, at the same time as we diversify and look at future growth markets and products – more than 40% of what Paragon does is outside customer communications.”
A replacement to take on Walters’ previous role is expected to be announced next month.
Paragon is part of the highly acquisitive, €1.46bn (£1.3bn) turnover Paragon Group and is its biggest division, with sales of more than €1bn and 25 manufacturing sites across Europe.
