The business, which was acquired by Xerox in July, was originally named Graphic Inline Ltd when it was founded in 1992 by Ron Welch to undertake high volume direct mail. By 1996 its sales had hit £10m and it was known as GI Direct.
In 2004, GI evolved its insight proposition, using its own data modelling system which is still in use today. The business also expanded into international sourcing, and later rebranded as Go Inspire.
Today, the business serves high-profile clients including Tesco, Waitrose, Sky, BT, and Lakeland.
As well as assisting many of its clients with their loyalty schemes, Go Inspire develops platforms that enable its customers to build fully integrated campaigns.
The business now mails over 800 million printed items and sends over one billion communications each year, and its turnover now stands at £68m. It employs more than 370 people across two offices in Leicester and Kettering, and has invested £20m over the past five years.
Patrick Headley, CEO of Go Inspire, said: “It’s been my pride and pleasure to lead this business to where it is today, but one thing stands out most consistently when I think back through the years – and that’s people.
“It’s been said that you don’t build a business – you build people, and the people build a business. The Go Inspire team, past and present, are of an exceptional calibre – not just professionally, but also as individuals.”
He added: “I’m delighted to celebrate our 30th anniversary this year – especially at such a significant time for the business with our recent acquisition by Xerox.
“It was my priority to ensure that the business has a secure platform on which to build the next chapter, and I’m confident we’re going to achieve many great things as part of the Xerox family.
“It’s a time for celebration and reflection and I personally have never been prouder to be the head of such an amazing business.”
This summer, Go Inspire recruited a new strategic account director for its charity-specialist division Connect.
