The Nottinghamshire creative agency said that as part of its ‘work from anywhere’ scheme, it is now allowing its employees to choose whether to work from the company’s Huthwaite headquarters, from home, a mixture of the two, or the freedom to work from anywhere they like.
This flexible approach comes off the back of the business having to adapt how it operates as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
CCM group director Trent Peek said: “If there’s anything we can learn from the last year, it’s that transparency and flexibility is paramount. Whether our people are working in the office, from home, a hybrid approach, or working from absolutely anywhere, including another country.
“I am confident that I can trust every single person to carry out their role no matter the location or environment they are working from.”
He added: “The world of work is changing rapidly and I believe that the focus should be on creating an environment and a culture where people can work how they want, where they want and when they want.
“We’re hopeful that our ‘work from anywhere’ scheme will provide employees with more control of their lives, offering an improved work-life balance and most importantly, signifying our trust in them.”
Chelsea Peek, head of people at CCM, added: “Our ‘work from anywhere’ scheme is an additional incentive that allows our people to work from anywhere they wish, at any given time. We don’t need to be chained to our office desks to be productive and achieve success, so we knew there was no reason for us to keep it that way post-pandemic.
“Our employees won’t be forced to return to the office, but there will always be a space available for those who want it. Instead, we’re hoping our office will become a hub of creativity and collaboration, where our people can meet to discuss projects, invite clients, and enable greatness.
“Culture and wellbeing is incredibly important to us all at CCM. We trust our people and are fortunate to have the systems, technology and processes in place to communicate effectively from anywhere without hindering the standard of our work. Our main focus moving forward is to encourage collaboration, embrace change and empower our people.”
Since January 2021, CCM has also launched numerous other company initiatives with an increased focus on sustainability and wellbeing.
As part of its journey to becoming a climate positive workforce, the business has planted over 5,000 trees in partnership with Ecologi to support UK and worldwide carbon reduction projects.
This is in addition to introducing a fleet of electric company cars and implementing internal weekly wellness sessions that have so far included financial wellbeing and planning, physical activities such as yoga, creative crafts, and virtual choir sessions.
CCM Group supplied tens of millions of high quality and certified PPE products to the likes of the NHS, councils and care homes during 2020, with the brand Trusted PPE launched last May with a focus on providing these items to the general public as well as businesses.
Last September the group relocated to its new, larger site in Huthwaite after seeing its workforce triple during the year. It currently employs 45 staff and has a turnover of £9.3m.
