The Nottinghamshire business drastically enhanced its product offering during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, offering PPE items to councils, the NHS and the general public across the UK.
There was also a business restructure which required dedicated teams for each division, creating the demand for a larger workforce.
The group now consists of CCM Creative, an agency that also encompasses the print fulfilment side of the business, CCM Products, which supplies high quality and low-cost merchandise and products to its B2B customer base, and CCM Axis, a B2C division which developed one of its consumer brands, Trusted PPE.
While its employee base has nearly tripled in the last year, the company said there are still currently two live vacancies and it anticipated more vacancies will be live in the new year. It is also projecting turnover of £12m for the current financial year, an increase of 401% on 2017.
As a result of its growth, CCM Group moved in September from its previous Mansfield premises to a three-storey 1,115sqm building including a 650sqm warehouse in Huthwaite.
The company told Printweek the building was chosen for its large and open office space, as well as a much larger warehouse, and that the building is on lease for five years with a clause to buy after that.
It said major refurbishment works are already underway at the site and plans include entertainment break out areas, creative studios and outdoor recreational spaces.
Group director Trent Peek said: “It has been a whirlwind of a year and there’s been so many changes across the company. This year, we’ve welcomed lots of amazing people to the team who’ve helped us get to where we are now.
“The office move is absolutely the biggest milestone in CCM history, and we want to make a creative and friendly environment that encompasses our company purpose - to enable greatness!”
Established in 1998, family business CCM Group’s customer portfolio includes The Range, NHS, Leicester City FC, University of Lincoln, Amari Plastics and Games Workshop, among others.
