The London-based creative print and bespoke packaging specialist had filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators earlier this month.
Printweek can confirm that Paul Williams and Benjamin Wiles of Kroll Advisory were appointed as joint administrators yesterday (23 January).
At the time of writing Kroll was yet to comment on the reasons for the appointment or the current status of the Bermondsey company.
Managing director and owner Iain Moring told Printweek the business was still trading, but said it was “obviously a very difficult situation”.
Industry sources have speculated that a sale of Screaming Colour’s business and assets could be on the cards, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.
The firm works with a wide range of blue-chip clients and leading brands producing direct mail, promotional materials and custom boxes. Key to its offering is 24-hour operation for fast turnaround production.
At the date of its last accounts, to 31 August 2021, the business had 77 employees at its 2,800sqm facility.
