MacroArt’s sustainability strategy is on track to halve the wide-format printer’s carbon footprint, according to its latest independently produced report.

A key benchmark in the report from Green Circle Solutions monitors CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) per sqm of material produced at MacroArt. The latest report highlighted CO2e per sqm had tumbled by 24% since 2019, signalling the business remains on track to reduce its carbon footprint by 50% by 2030.

MacroArt’s strategy sets sustainability at the heart of its business, based on five pillars:

  • Measure
  • Activate
  • Change
  • Recycle
  • and O, representing its commitment to net zero

Driven by its dedicated sustainability committee, the business has evaluated all operations, from sourcing and production through to installation and recycling of materials.

The annual CO2e per sqm measurement establishes a truly accurate picture of MacroArt’s environmental impact and drives quantifiable and realistic improvements across every element of its operations.

Data from the report shows the impact of a strong programme of sustainability initiatives across the business.

Managing director Michael Green said: “Sustainability is no longer an optional extra for companies today – it needs to be ingrained in the very operating system of a business.

“Our Sustainability Strategy informs and directs everything that we do.”

One example of how the strategy drives change was illustrated at the recent ICE gaming event at Excel London, where MacroArt clients enjoyed a guaranteed full turnkey print, install, dismantle, and take back service for recycling their stand graphics prints.
