According to the software developer, it is a struggle for large format printers to prepare artwork correctly for pole mounted banners. It requires them to employ operators to manually repeat (after rotating) the content on the top and bottom by a few inches, to accommodate the pockets. It also requires creating blanks for hemming process.
At InSoft, automation is not just a buzz word. It lives and breathes identifying pain points and simplifying complexity. In 2022 InSoft Automation created many features that ensure the PDF artwork sent by designers and customers are made compatible with the specific print product. Here is one more feature for wide format printing application.
InSoft Automation launched Imp’s ‘Pole Mounted Banner Designer’ feature at Printing United 2022 in Las Vegas on October.
This feature allows input for a pole banner to come in PDF, PNG, TIFF or JPEG formats. The software automatically creates pole pockets by extending and rotating bleed strips with optional blank region creation on the back side edges for hemming. Grommet marks are also added automatically.
Increase Yield - Reduce Waste
Once the artworks for front and back side of the pole mounted banners are created, Imp software’s smart algorithms compute optimal layouts selecting the best media roll width, printer, and digital cutting process. The smartest and fastest ganging engine keeps profits rather than leak profits by reducing wastage and enhancing productivity.
