The machine, the flagship model in the firm’s Pro line, prints at speeds of up to 90 pages per minute in full colour, and can handle stocks of 60-300gsm up to SRA3. According to Ricoh, printing does not slow down when using heavier stock.
The machine has an 11,000-sheet input capacity and toner can be refilled on the fly. It features Ricoh image processing technology and is equipped with a built-in EFI Fiery controller. It can print at up to 1,200dpi.
The C900 offers a range of configurations for automatic inline finishing, including a punch unit, Plockmatic bookletmaker, saddlestitch unit, GBC StreamPunch III and Z-folder. For booklets, customers can install ring-binder or perfect-binder units.
Chas Moloney, director of marketing at Ricoh UK, said: “The company already has an established high-volume customer base and developing products to support these markets is one of our key aims.”
The manufacturer is set to be the largest exhibitor at TPE, which runs from 14-16 October at Earls Court 2, London.
In addition to the colour multifunction device, Ricoh will demonstrate a range of inline finishing kit for the C900, including a ring binder, perfect binder, Plockmatic booklet-maker and GBC punch unit on stands 215 and 225.
