Sections are fed through the company’s JetFeeder, which can handle products as small as postcards. Lapped and non-lapped sections can be processed at the same speed via the gripper-based UniServer. At Drupa 2008, it introduced a PreTronic system to preset the kit via servo motors. The kit now features a Quality Eye optical signature recognition system for quality control. Both models are available in configurations handling four, six, seven and nine sections, including cover feeders. They can also be supplied with a TriServer, which allows items such as a MemoStick and tip-ons to be added to the product. The Ferag UniDrum forms part of a complete stitcher-gathering system, with prices starting at £2.5m.
