The new router option is designed to handle a more challenging range of materials including MDF, acrylic, PVC, Dibond or aluminium. With the exception of carbides and stone the new tool can route, engrave and polish almost any material, according to the manufacturer.
A key feature of the new RM-L module, which is available immediately, is its powerful, water-cooled spindle with pneumatic collet, which delivers 3.6kW of processing power and a maximum torque of 0.7Nm enabling greater speed and cutting depth.
Described by Zünd product manager, graphics, Lars Bendixen as "a complete routing system", it includes automatic router bit changer ARC HSK, Minimal Quantity Lubrication (MQL), a set of bits, a gantry, the ZCC option or a sealgrip underlay.”
Zünd product manager for graphics, Lars Bendixen said: “The automatic router bit changer is a key feature, which can accommodate up to eight different collet holders. This allows a fully automated tool changing and significant increases of production automation and throughput.
“In addition, the new HSK-E25 collet holders permit an even wider range of bits and offer even higher clamping forces.”
Bendixen said the new device addressed the needs of the sign and graphics market as well as customers in other areas of application who need to route thicker and harder materials in less passes at higher feed rates
Material size for the router depends on the working area of the Zünd Cutter, which can be up to 3.2x3.2m. The routing depth depends on the length of the routing tool and the height of the beam. Zünd Cutters are available with a beam height of 30, 60 or 120mm and depending on configuration, materials up to 1.1m thick can be processed
The company said pricing was available on request.
