The dye-sub transfer printer is 1.6m-wide with production speeds of up to 120sqm/hr, an increase in max speed of 118% over the previous model, the DGI FT-1608. It uses the Kyocera printheads also present in DGI’s HSFT III and FH-3204 sublimation printers.

The South Korean-manufactured printer is designed for use in a high-throughput environment and comes with a remote monitoring app, which means it can be left unattended.

An additional SE model in the range features an extra printhead, meaning customers can install spot colours or fluorescent inks alongside CMYK.

YPS plans to offer a mini jumbo roll unit and a range of textiles substrates, inks, and other peripheral devices later this year to support the DGI Poseidon.
