Veloton is a modular system available in a variety of sizes, including custom sizes, that is said to make cutting speeds on the company’s Veloblade machines up to ten times faster.
Featuring automatic skew correction, the system can be retrofitted to existing Veloblade Volta + and Nexus systems to increase their speed. Available as of Drupa, it will be available for customers to purchase as an optional extra when buying Veloblade systems.
Lewis Evans, director at Vivid Laminating Technologies, said: “This patented technology is groundbreaking and will be one of the highlights on our stand.
“Not only will this be of interest to new users, but the Veloton is also retrofittable to any of our already installed Veloblade machines, including the Volta and Nexus systems.”
He added: “Drupa serves as the perfect stage for introducing new products, and we’re thrilled to unveil the Veloton to visitors. While there’s much to explore at our Drupa [stand], we also have a lineup of undisclosed launches later this year.”
At Vivid’s Drupa stand (Hall 6, stand A21), the company will also be showing the VeloTaper, an automated flatbed taping system that is compatible with Vivid’s VeloBlade digital die-cutting systems.
Also on show will be the Zip Core Packaging Suite, a CAD/CAM packaging software that has been created to optimise every aspect of packaging design from start to finish.
Visitors will also see the Easymount Hybrid, a multi-patented laminator featuring ‘hover’ technology for enhanced ease of use when mounting.
Drupa takes place at Messe Düsseldorf from 28 May to 7 June.
