Some of the major manufacturers exhibiting at The Print Show in Birmingham in September will be hosting UK first showings at the annual event.

Agfa will use its presence at The Print Show to launch the new Anapurna Ciervo to the UK market.

First introduced at Fespa in Amsterdam in March, the Anapurna Ciervo H3200 is a 3.2m-wide hybrid model that offers enhanced print quality and higher productivity than its predecessor and includes an almost 70% increase in printing speeds in Production Mode.

Mike Horsten, senior president PR manager for Agfa, said: “We are very excited to come to the UK for a local show. It is going to be an opportunity for people to talk to us, look at samples, and the quality of output that we are producing. Agfa hasn’t done any shows in the UK in recent times so this is the right place and the right moment.”

Meanwhile, SwissQprint is using its first appearance at The Print Show to host the first appearance of its Kudu flatbed printer at a UK trade show.

Attendees will see the machine in action throughout each day. Using all 10 colour channels, the company said it will highlight “the vibrant neon colours and striking varnish effects” possible with the machine.

Additionally, the roll-to-roll printing option will demonstrate the efficiency and versatility of the unit.

Boasting a 3.2x2m flatbed and productivity of 304sqm/hr, as well as 1,350dpi resolution for maximum quality, the machine is certified as first-class in energy efficiency, using only 2.2 kWh of electricity.

SwissQprint's stand will also have a wide variety of examples tailored specifically to the sign and display market, including ACM, acrylics, POS, and fabric printing.

SwissQprint UK managing director Erskine Stewart said: “We are thrilled to introduce the Kudu to visitors and demonstrate the versatility and innovation that SwissQprint brings to the industry. Our goal is to inspire and equip businesses with the tools they need to achieve extraordinary results.”

Konica Minolta will be showing several production technologies, including the newly launched AccurioPress C84hc, which uses high chroma toner to deliver consistently bright, vivid colours.

Visitors to the stand will also see the machine’s integration with the latest finishing technologies, including the IQ-501 Intelligent Quality control system and the TU-510 inline finisher. This technology produces fully finished, full bleed output, single flyers and business cards in one pass.

Jon Hiscock, head of production and industrial print at Konica Minolta, said: “The Print Show 2024 is a key event in the print industry calendar, offering a prime opportunity to explore the latest innovations and technology shaping our market.

“Our AccurioPress C84hc exemplifies how print businesses can differentiate themselves, expand their offerings, and attract new customers.

“Our stand aims to help print businesses understand both the technology and the market opportunities it presents. With workflow solutions that boost productivity, efficiency, versatility, and sustainability, businesses can enhance their competitive edge and meet evolving market demands.”

The Print Show will be held from 17 to 19 September in Hall 17 of the NEC in Birmingham.

Other confirmed exhibitors include CMYUK, Fujifilm UK, InkTec Europe, Mutoh, and Vivid. First-time exhibitors this year include Summa, Print.com, Super-Wide Digital, and First Display Signs & Graphics among others.
