Pearl Lightbox is suitable for general lightbox use, while Lightbox Soft Knitted is more flexible and less prone to wrinkling. This makes it more suitable for tight stretching inside lightboxes.
Also new is Theater, which is suitable for blockout applications.
The products, which are available in 100m rolls, are aimed at printers with 5m-wide UV machines serving customers that use lightboxes, such as department stores, showrooms, fashion shows, exhibitions, shops and hotels.
TTS sales manager Jacco van ‘t Riet said: “It might be more logical for people to print these canvases dye-sub but in the last few years 90% of our lightbox textiles have been printed UV.”
TTS said users have been faced with size restrictions on lightbox materials in the past and that there has previously been no high-quality textiles available for 5m-wide seamless printing.
“Previous alternatives were also never really good because if you folded them you would see where the fold had been in the coating, which would crack when folding. These canvases can be folded and stored and they will be good next year,” said van ‘t Riet.
“This is a coated textile that has a diffused layer on it and also a layer to adhere the inks onto.”
