New additions including Streamline Ultima HPQ LO, Streamline SGX and Streamline TBJ will be shown on the firm’s stand (C1 and C5 in Hall 8).
The Streamline range, which is designed for wide and superwide-format printers including Epson, Vutek, Roland DG, Mimaki and Seiko, are formulated to have matching colour and physical properties to those of OEM inks.
Streamline Ultima HPQ LO is an upgrade of the existing Ultima HPQ product, which now incorporates Sun Chemical’s low-odour chemistry. The ink, which is designed for Mimaki eco-solvent printers, combines high print quality with low-odour properties and is suitable for printers working in confined spaces.
Streamline SGX eco-solvent inks have been designed specifically to work with the high-performance thin film piezo printheads for the new Epson SureColor 70600 printer. This series also features Sun Chemical’s low-odour chemistry.
Streamline TBJ is formulated for the HP Turbojet and features significantly reduced energy consumption through improved drying performance. It also offers improved overall ink consumption and reduced overspray, which removes the need for cleaning between print jobs.
Also on show at Fespa will be Streamline TX, Sun Chemical’s first range for the digital textile market. The product, which was Introduced at last year’s Fespa Digital 2014, is an aqueous based CMYK dye-sublimation ink for the soft signage market.
According to the manufacturer, Streamline TX inks provide bright, strong colours and dense blacks and have excellent “show-through” properties because of their penetration into the fabric, which is particularly beneficial to flag printers.
Sun Chemical business manager Tony Cox said: “Fespa is always a successful platform for us to showcase our alternative inkjet inks. This year we’re pleased to be able to demonstrate new additions to our Streamline range.
“All our alternative inkjet products are developed to match or exceed the properties of the OEM products and provide an effective alternative for customers.
“Our low-odour inks have been developed for printers working in closed environments, delivering improved comfort for the operator, while Streamline TX serves the escalating market demand for soft signage products.
“For printers visiting Fespa looking for alternative solutions for inkjet inks, regardless of their choice of inkjet print device, we have a range of products to meet their application needs, supported by deep product expertise and after sales support.”
Separately, the manufacturer will also highlight its commitment to the screen and industrial market at Fespa by showing new inks from its SunPromo family of solvent and UV curing display graphic screen inks, including additions to the VioGraph VGF, VioFlash VFC and VioFlex VFX series'.
According to Sun Chemical, the VioGraph VGF series is a versatile range of UV curing screen printing inks, which feature wide ranging adhesion and rapid curing and are suitable for use in graphic screen printing applications such as POS, advertising, signs, self-adhesive decals and window displays.
The UV curing screen ink series VioFlash VFC is suitable for high-speed in-line printing on a variety of plastic substrates, papers and boards. These inks have high flexibility, reliable adhesion, a non-reflective finish and fast cure speeds and are suitable for the production of instore advertising, displays and visual packaging.
