The manufacturer said the addition of the Magno Web offering resulted in “the most complete coated paper range on the market”.
Magno Web woodfree coated paper is available in gloss, matt and silk finishes and a wide range of grammages. It is suitable for heatset web offset, CutStar and other reel-to-sheet litho printing, and high-speed inkjet printing.
The papers have been tested and approved for use with Canon ProStream, HP T-series, Ricoh Pro VC, and Screen Truepress high-speed inkjet devices “with excellent runnability”. Certifications include FSC and PEFC.
Magno Web is manufactured at Sappi’s European mills and will be sold directly by Sappi.
Maxine Martin, Sappi Europe marketing and sales development manager, commented: “Magno is Sappi's flagship grade and is already the most recognised woodfree sheetfed grade throughout Europe. This rebrand provides the opportunity to position our overall woodfree offering as the premier woodfree product in Europe.”
The move follows the recent rebranding of GalerieArt as Magno.
Separately, Sappi has also announced that all three of its manufacturing regions – Europe, North America and Southern Africa – have again achieved the highest possible rating, Platinum, in the annual EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ratings.
