DisplayGenie, which is powered by the firm’s Flexi software, is said to eliminate multiple steps to improve job creation efficiencies and simplify the design of POS and packaging. The software is on show at SAI’s stand in Hall 1 (1-J8). It is suitable for use with both cartonboard and corrugated board.
The software is compatible with all existing wide-format RIP software that drives flatbed printers and cutters. SAI said it features a simple but complete toolset to enable easier display and box structure design.
Users can choose and adapt existing templates from the “extensive” library of POS, carton and box blanks. These can then be personalised with new artwork and text.
Designers can enter new geometric values using DisplayGenie’s intuitive interface, from which the Flexi software then parametrically rebuilds designs in seconds.
SAI said DisplayGenie enables wide-format printers to quickly and easily get started with POS display and box creation for a fraction of the price of high-end packages.
SAI product director Dean Derhak said: “By expanding their applications offering, print businesses can increase revenues and sharpen their competitive edge – all while enjoying enhanced production operations thanks to a simplified and expedited job design process.”
The DisplayGenie software is available with immediate effect and installs on Windows 7, 8 and 10 PCs (32 and 64-bit). It is available for €1,995 from SAI Resellers throughout Europe.
