Described by the company as an all-in-one design, print and cut software for sign and print providers, Flexi Complete has been introduced to replace previous Flexi versions and naming conventions.
The company said the main features of the top level package include advanced text designer, advanced ContourCut, and finishing tools including grommets, folds, and bleeds.
A complete collection of colour libraries, advanced colour management, enhanced white ink workflow support, and 64-bit RIP “for excellent results” were among the other listed features of the software, which supports thousands of devices “out-of-the-box” and has continuous support from SAi.
Other packages available, with fewer features, include the Flexi Design package, which enables users to create professional designs and artwork and send jobs to a remote Flexi Production Manager or even another RIP software; and Flexi DTF/DTG, aimed at simplifying DTF/DTG design and production.
Available from next week, Flexi Complete includes over 30 new features that SAi is showing on its Fespa stand.
Andy Wauters, director of subscriptions and direct sales at SAi, told Printweek that SAi “is moving in the direction of selling long-term licenses rather than traditional purchase licenses – it will be in the form of one-, three- and five-year long-term licenses”.
“We will have monthly subscriptions or long-term licenses, and we will steer away from traditional purchase products in the near future.”
He added: “Instead of many different product levels, we will evolve to one product level that has everything, and then in the form of long-term licensing and subscriptions.
“We will steer away from versions, because Flexi Complete will always have everything in the future.”
He added users of lower tier packages have the opportunity to upgrade to Flexi Complete.
Fespa Global Print Expo runs until Friday (22 March) at the RAI in Amsterdam.
