Made in Europe and featuring a black polypropylene core containing up to 80% recycled content by weight, Premier said the product builds on the success of the existing eTec Air Bubble Board White Core.
The new product retains the smooth, bright white virgin polypropylene surfaces on both sides, to ensure vibrant and accurate prints, but the addition of a black core was said to enhance opacity, and eliminate show-through, making it particularly suitable for POS displays, signage, exhibition panels, and other high-impact visual applications.
Designed for UV, latex, and screen printing, eTec Air-R Bubble Board Black Core is corona-treated, “ensuring excellent ink adhesion and print quality”.
Premier said the board is also highly versatile in production and compatible with flatbed cutting (drag knife), die-cutting (hot and cold), guillotining, hot welding, folding, and laser cutting, making it suitable for a wide range of fabrication methods.
Its UV treatment is said to ensure durability for long-term outdoor use, providing resistance to the elements without compromising on sustainability.
The product is also fully recyclable and qualifies for disposal through the Fespa Waste Management Scheme. It is also available to be carbon captured, on request, through Premier’s sustainability scheme in partnership with the Woodland Trust.
Premier display sheets and thermoplastics director (UK & Ireland), Steve Jones, said: “The demand for sustainable materials continues to grow, and the introduction of eTec Air-R Bubble Board Black Core reflects our commitment to offering environmentally responsible solutions.
“With its high recycled content, improved opacity, and reliable performance, this product provides an ideal choice for businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact while maintaining the highest quality standards.”
Premier also recently added Drytac’s new Polar Frost Air translucent polymeric film to its portfolio.
