The DTF Express enables the Greek manufacturer’s TexJet series of DTG printers to produce transfers for apparel including sportswear, workwear and hats onto light or dark polyester, nylon, cotton polyblends and a wide range of manmade fabrics.
The range is made up of DTF Express Transfer Film, Adhesive Powder and an optional Antislip Pad to secure the film during printing. TexJet users will also need to update their Cadlink Digital Factory Apparel RIP software to v10 Polyprint Edition.
“This new printing process gives the opportunity to DTG users to easily and cost-effectively print DTF and transfer their designs on multiple textiles. They can create personalised t-shirts, bags, pet clothing and even place small logos in specific places productively, using their current TexJet DTG printer,” said, Polyprint technical support engineer Dimitris Stavrakidis.
The process works by the image from the printed film being transferred onto the garment via the specially developed adhesive powder and a standard heat press.
“DTF is a fairly simple process that can easily be adopted by existing TexJet users. It, essentially, complements DTG printing by producing fantastic prints on numerous textiles, without the need to pretreat,” added George Benglopoulos, Polyprint CEO.
DTF Express is available in the UK via distributor Amaya Sales UK. DTF Express Transfer Film costs £79 per 100 A3 sheets, while Adhesive Powder is £45 per kg tub. The optional, reusable Antislip Pad is available for £35.
