Polar, whose worldwide distribution partner is Heidelberg, launched the new Polar N HD at the Druck+Form exhibition in Sinsheim, south-west Germany from 7-10 October.
The touchscreen control panel, which Polar said was a world-first for a cutting-machine manufacturer, is resistant to scratches and mechanical wear and said to enable "more accurate and intuitive operation".
New design features include a "cockpit-style" redesign of the front of the machine table, an ergonomic hand rest below the HD touchscreen and a redesigned foot pedal.
The new touchscreen operating panel will be available on the Polar N Plus, N Pro and N AT, while the new machine design will feature on all new high-speed cutters from 78 to 176.
