The company said its SnapWrap Khora Display Box, which is available with immediate effect, is a glue and stretcher bar free alternative to traditional inkjet canvas printing.
The 650gsm pre-coated board is 100% acid-free, water-resistant and made of "conservation-quality" material. The flat board can be fed straight into any aqueous dye/pigment, eco-solvent or UV wide-format (600mm or wider) inkjet printer.
The printed board can then be quickly folded to create a boxed canvas-like image, which can hang in portrait or landscape format using the built-in hanging slits with no need for gluing, cutting or stapling.
PermaJet spokesperson Joseph Reiner said: “We’ve had incredibly positive feedback about this product as it’s such a quick system to put together.
“The surface looks like a traditional wrapped canvas, which has a lot of value for quick turnaround jobs, and people also like the fact that it’s acid-free because it helps with longevity.”
The substrate is available in four formats; 305x305mm (12x12in), 300x356mm (11x14in) and 406x305mm (16x12in), which are available in packs of 10, and 508x406mm (20x16in), which is available in packs of five. Pricing for the packs range from around £100 to £108.
PermaJet also manufactures and sells media including fine art papers, fibre-based papers and digital photo papers.
The firm’s Oyster 271 paper recently won the Best Inkjet Paper of the Year 2014 at The SWPP (Society Of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) Trade Show Awards.
