The MBO K8 Perfection, which is available in three configurations: S-KTL, S-KTZ and S-KTLT, can also be customised to suit specific requirements.
The combi folding machine, which can handle substrates with a minimum size of 170x250mm and a maximum size of 780x1,200mm, has an operating speed of up to 235m/min while its knife units run at up to 40,000 cycles/hour.
It features a track-keeping tooth belt for effective paper transport in cross-fold and three-fold production, and user-friendly three-fold processing with four additional high speed rollers.
Two different configurations of the K8 Perfection folding machine were shown on the MBO stand at Drupa 2012.
The price of the machine, which is aimed at book and magazine printers, starts at around £100,000 depending on configuration.
UK and Ireland sales manager for UK distributor Friedheim International Stuart Banford said: "We had a lot of enquiries about the K8, which has been developed to be extremely productive and reliable, at Drupa 2012. We sold one at the show and have had a lot of interest since Drupa finished.
"This machine can produce 16-page sections at upwards of 12,000 per hour," he added.
