Swiss manufacturer Lüscher-Tschudi and the L&M team formally signed the deal at Fespa.
Lüscher-Tschudi co-founder Hans Lüscher said: “We chose L&M Imaging to represent us in the UK for their commitment to customer service. We have worked well together in the past and it is a pleasure to renew this relationship.”
The firm has two textile printers: the T-Rex 320 II, which prints at up to 230sqm/hour; and the Raptor 320, which prints at up to 140sqm/hour. Both are 3.2m wide, use Konica Minolta printheads and are aimed at the large-format digital textile prints and soft signage markets. Alongside the printers is the accompanying Therminator 320 roll-to-roll fixation unit.
The Raptor 320 (pictured below) is on show for the first time at the Hamburg Messe.
Lüscher-Tschudi first showed the T-Rex at Fespa Digital last year, and until now has concentrated its sales effort on central Europe.
It has two installations in Switzerland, one in Holland and a further two in Germany. The T-Rex on show at Fespa will be installed at a German customer after the show.
L&M managing director Tim Clough said he was excited about the potential for the equipment.
He said the devices had numerous benefits: “With different head configurations and resolutions the range of machines are perfect for soft signage and flag printers. Utilising Lüscher-Tschudi’s dispersed dye inks and ink profiles, operators achieve 100% ink penetration with a wide colour gamut, zoned drying, low odour, plus ease of use,” he said.
Prices start at €95,000 (£80,600).
Lüscher-Tschudi is exhibiting on stand B6-A80 at Fespa. L&M staff will be on the stand throughout the show.
The manufacturer is also looking for dealers in France and Italy.
L&M Imaging Systems, based in Hebden Bridge, was born out of the old Linotype & Machinery business. The firm supplies a range of specialist products including CTP systems, software, and photolithography equipment.
