The ColourSure 2 solvent inks are targeted at users of all Roland Pro 4, XF-640, XR-640, RF-640 and VersaCAMM VSi series printers.
The new product is a direct alternative to Roland Eco Sol Max II products and was formulated to be colour compatible with them.
Atlantic Tech Services ervice manager Stafford Cox said: “The inks were released to help digital printers, especially high-volume users such as those creating large banners that require a fast throughput of work. In the long term we expect a lot of printers to switch to Pro 4 machines.”
ColourSure 2 inks are available in one-litre bottles for use with Atlantis' approved bulk ink-feed systems and also in 440ml cartridges. A one-litre bottle costs £81 said Cox.
Seven colours include CMYK, light cyan, light magenta and the company's new light black. Atlantic said that ColourSure 2 yellow ink has also been modified to match the Roland ink precisely.
According to the manufacturer, another main benefit of ColourSure 2 is it can print with a reduced odour to improve conditions for customers who work in confined working spaces.
The drying properties of ColourSure are also consistent with the OEM products and therefore standard drying temperatures should be the same.
During 2016 Atlantic is offering a free-of-charge complete conversion package to new users, which includes one preventative maintenance service, complete inking system and print head clean and flush.
