Kuka robots go faster

German robot manufacturer Kuka (Hall 7, stand C19) has a stand at drupa for the first time.

The company is promoting itself not only as a logistics professional but also as a printing industry specialist. Visitors to the Drupa innovation park can learn how industrial robots help to accelerate print processes.

The Kuka exhibit centres on its new KR Qunatec line of palletising robots. It was developed specifically for the needs of the print and paper converting industry.

One of the robots’ special features is their reduced weight, which makes them extremely fast. Models are available that can handle payloads of 120kg, 180kg and 240kg. All three boast a reach of 3,200mm. The KR C4 software controls the motion, path and safety functions of these mechanical helpers.
