Offering smart automation, the company said Prinergy provides an integrated and futureproof workflow automation platform that consolidates production across digital and analogue printing processes.
It is compatible with “virtually all” third-party software and equipment and connects with a wide range of digital presses.
Direct connectivity to Kodak Prosper presses is a major new feature of version 11.0, which Kodak said has been designed to provide even more efficient support for both digital and traditional print production.
Prinergy 11.0 also features enhancements to Rules-Based Automation (RBA), improved usability for Virtual Proofing Software Plus (VPS+), seamless import of Harmony calibration curves into Kodak’s Colorflow software, and many other functional and performance improvements. The company said the new version also offers greater security and usability.
“The release of version 11.0 means Prinergy is more than ever the key to unlocking efficiency, productivity and profitability for printers in today’s digital, analogue and hybrid print production,” said Jim Barnes, Kodak’s chief IT implementation officer.
“The Kodak Prinergy Platform will continue to provide printers with advanced tools, automation and close collaboration options to stay competitive and profitable.”
Earlier this month, Kodak revealed that its high-speed 410m/min Prosper 7000 Turbo press will go on show in Europe for the first time at Hunkeler Innovationdays in Lucerne, Switzerland, from 24-27 February.
