The LED toner C7800 operates at a constant print speed and can output five A0 posters per minute. It can produce a 5m long banner in 50 seconds, and has a maximum print output length of 39m. Print width is 914mm.
The €56,000 (£45,000) device can print onto 15 different types of media including blue back and glossy paper, up to 160gsm.
The output is completely dry immediately after printing, and is UV resistant for at least a year.
A range of inline finishing options is available, including an automatic folder for technical drawings, a cutter, and a stacker.
“The system can operate in black and white or colour. It can print engineering plans and technical drawings, but also full-colour posters,” said Andrés Kaiser, sales director at the German supplier.
Prints costs as little as €0.05 per square metre for 4% coverage, €0.56 for 45%, and €1.15 for 98% coverage.
“Cost of operation is a key advantage. We deliver a software tool with each system that analyses costs and consumables use,” Kaiser added.
