The Tamworth-based business was confirmed as the official Vulcan distributor last month. Vulcan’s range was previously available through Pressroom Plus, which closed earlier this year, and prior to that Hubergroup.
It follows the March appointment of Tony Elliot, who previously worked at both Pressroom Plus and Hubergroup.
Intuprint managing director Tom Coope said: “Vulcan is a very strong addition to our product portfolio and Tony was one of the key reasons that we got that agency. He’s got good relationships with Trelleborg, who own the Vulcan brand.
“He will be available to all of our customers and potential customers to offer technical support and advice with choosing and getting the most from their printing blankets.”
The company has also recently invested around £60,000 in upgrading its printing blanket conversion facility, which included a new CAD plotter table and associated software plus extra stock and materials holding.
“This investment will increase our productivity, efficiency and quality,” said Coope.
Established in 1987, Intuprint has 16 staff and turns over £3m.
As well as its in-house printing blanket and blanket washcloth conversion facilities, the company is the official UK distributor for blanket and coating plate manufacturers including Day, Perfect Dot, Tyref, Folex and Printec.
It is also the exclusive distributor for Pre-Tex pre-saturated washcloths and is an authorised distributor for Fujifilm, Varn, Hubergroup and KSL spray powder.
