Available to market as of the first day of Fespa, the X5 is designed for on-demand, full-colour print onto flat and hard media up to 152mm (6in) tall. The US-headquartered manufacturer will also show its Helix and Xjet digital printers.
“The X5 machine is ideal for industrial printing and promotional products clients,” said Inkcups marketing manager Jessica Makrinos. “This digital printer is equipped for stationery printing applications such as custom pens, notebooks, rulers, canvases, and much more.
“Companies can easily print full-colour images or a one- or two-colour logo on these applications for their promotional and personalisation purposes.
“The X5 has the latest in printhead technology. Additionally, we have engineered this machine to have larger bed size and to handle taller parts. This allows our customers to print on a greater variety of products. Our machines are upgraded based on the needs of our customers and shifts in the market.”
At Fespa, Inkcups will be printing live on the X5, which can decorate a bed size of 1,100x610mm in two minutes, according to Makrinos. Its six-head system accommodates CMYK plus either double-white or white-plus-varnish at resolutions up to 1,200dpi.
Printing onto flat or slightly-curved substrates, it reaches speeds up to 19sqm/hr.
Inkcups will be found at stand H70 in hall A5 at Messe Munich from 14-17 May.
