The Connect:Switch module, available now in Enfocus’ appstore, allows “seamless” connection between Switch and Infigo storefronts, allowing users to import job details, asset files, and metadata into their Enfocus Switch print environment.
Demonstrating the technology, Infigo set up a baseball-themed attraction at its store where visitors could generate themselves a baseball card through Infigo’s AI-powered software, which was then printed and cut automatically.
Infigo’s connection to Enfocus represents another significant jump in the software’s potential market, joining July’s connection to eProductivity Software’s PACE system as the latest Infigo addition.
“It’s so easy to set up,” said Chris Minn, Infigo’s head of global marketing.
“The Connect:Switch is only going to benefit print service providers. They can sit back, and all their kit will be talking to each other.”
Minn added: “It works with any of their finishing partners, any Enfocus partner they’re connected to. That’s what you need to save money on costs, reduce touchpoints, or increase revenue streams: you need lights-out automation.”
To celebrate the launch, Infigo is offering its Connect apps – including PrintIQ, Cern, Label Traxx, EPS, Tharstern – free of charge to subscribers in September 2024.
“It’s a mad show month, and we may see people but they might not be able to commit at the show, so we wanted to help people look at the apps they’re interested in.
“People see the benefit in having that connection – so we just decided to give them away for free when someone signs up for Infigo. We’re really proud of how the workflow is functioning, and we want to keep it as low a cost as possible.
“We’re in a world now where it’s getting harder and harder to make a profit, save on waste, and make up for a lack in headcount: we need to rely on technology now.”
