Commercially available with immediate effect, the machine is designed for the efficient A4 landscape booklet production of both digital and offset jobs and can handle sheets up to 610mm long.
It delivers improved digital sheet feeding performance by incorporating smooth air flow with individual air-blow fans at each bin, which are said to enable sufficient air separation to ensure stable feeding.
There is also an optional extra side blower that is suitable for large or heavy substrates.
The VAC L600H features overlap and speed adjustment and a range of suction and blower levels while power consumption per tower has been reduced by 30% compared with its predecessor.
IFS said that combined with Horizon’s StitchLiner Mark III saddlestitcher or SPF-200L bookletmaker, the VAC L600H is capable of producing a variety of applications, including A4-landscape booklets and large-format calendars, with ease and efficiency.
“There has been a huge growth in interest for landscape work and these collators have been created to support fast, efficient and high-quality handling,” said IFS managing director Bryan Godwyn.
“They can work inline with highly productive Horizon solutions to create a streamlined workflow for optimum efficiency.”
IFS also supplies systems from manufacturers including Foliant, Perfecta, Petratto, Durselen, SCS, Italdibipack and Tecnau.
