Smyth’s product range includes a variety of models suitable for various book formats and production volumes.
Effective from 1 September 2024, the partnership agreement will allow IFS to offer Smyth’s entire product range.
Jason Seaber, technical sales director at IFS, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Smyth. Their reputation for excellence aligns perfectly with our own commitment to providing our customers with the best solutions in the market.
“We believe this partnership will significantly enhance our product portfolio and allow us to offer a wider range of high-quality book binding solutions to our customers.”
Sabrina Pronotto, CEO of Smyth, said that forming a partnership with IFS was “an easy decision”.
“Both organisations strive to deliver customer focused, top quality finishing solutions that truly add value.
“Together, working as a team, we aim to make our offer and our know-how available to all those companies that need to speed up and simplify their finishing processes both in the digital and offset printing markets.”
The Smyth range of sewing machines starts from £45,000 for the FX-30 model. IFS said it would be offering the machines at “competitive prices” to new and existing customers with full technical support, service maintenance, and spare parts from its offices and showroom in Hemel Hempstead.
Perfect Bindery Solutions was the previous distributor for Smyth.
