The 1.8m- and 3.4m-wide devices, which are based on Reggiani’s technology, were launched earlier this year and are available from I-Sub with immediate effect.
I-Sub director Nick Davies said the machines were suitable for companies looking to move into the soft signage market.
“Thanks to their sophisticated print technology, these printers produce robust soft signs and fabric displays that retain the drape and soft hand customers prefer, while still creating spectacular graphics that can be washed and dried without wrinkling, folded without leaving marks, and reused time and time again.
“The machines can print direct to textile or onto transfer paper, and changeover from one to the other is fast and simple. This means users can offer customers more choice in textiles while also saving money by using lower cost substrate materials.”
He added: “These printers use genuine EFI water-based CMYK disperse dye inks to print on fabrics weighing from 40 to 300gsm, and paper weighing from 40 to 160gsm, to produce dramatic, four-colour fabric display graphics with a wide colour gamut and incredibly deep colour saturation.”
The FabriVu printers provide a resolution of up to 2,400dpi and four-level greyscale printing with 4pl to 18pl drop sizes.
The 180 has a maximum production speed of 400sqm/hr with production image quality of 200sqm/hr and POP image quality at 132sqm/hr. The 340 can reach speeds of up to 500sqm/hr with production image quality of 250sqm/hr and POP image quality at 165sqm/hr.
Martin Mayo, who joined EFI earlier this month as UK, Ireland and Nordics sales director, inkjet said: “I-Sub is a long-time distributor of EFI Reggiani printers and the company has established itself as an important resource in the development of the UK textile printing market, particularly in industrial apparel and the decor spaces.
“With continuing rapid growth taking place in textile printing, we’re now working collaboratively with I-Sub to help display graphic providers and other customers create new profit opportunities and doing this by leveraging advanced capabilities of EFI products like the Vutek FabriVu.”
Kettering, Northamptonshire-based I-Sub and its sister company I-Sub Digital recently moved to new premises three times the size of its previous site, enabling it to accommodate a wider range of print and finishing kit.
The business also supplies and supports machinery from manufacturers including Dgen, Coldenhove, Sensient, Mimaki, Epson, Reggiani, Monti Antonio and Roland DG.
